Mentorship/Volunteer
Mentorship Program
The aim of the Mentorship program is to help newcomers integrate into their host community and avoid social isolation. To do this, we match him with members of the Acadian and francophone community in the Halifax area. We match them according to their interests and affinities, as well as their age and gender.
Sponsors and newcomers meet once a week for a period of six months. The content of the get-togethers is left to the discretion of the twinned partners: coffee walks in a park, meals, cultural outings, sports activities.
This program is designed for French-speaking newcomers. Priority will be given to those who have arrived in Canada within the last 5 years.
