Give your child's learning wings with HIPPY

HIPPY is a 30-week international home-learning program designed for parents with pre-school children.

Immigration francophone de la Nouvelle-Écosse is pleased to introduce this French-language program for permanent resident parents with children aged 3 or 4.

The HIPPY program is a structured, proven curriculum that enables parents to :

  • establish a predictable routine with their child;
  • to pass on to their children the foundations of academic success;
  • stimulate their interest in learning through fun activities.

Each week, a home visitor will visit you for an hour to provide you with educational materials and show you how to teach your child literacy, language, math, science and motor skills.

In turn, you’ll spend 15 to 20 minutes a day with your child, teaching him or her the curriculum through fun activities.
